Homburger set out to enhance the efficiency of its legal research and documentation processes by harnessing the capabilities of Google Cloud’s Generative AI and Large Language Models. The goal was twofold: to deliver automatically generated summaries of newly published legal materials to internal teams, and to simplify document drafting through AI-assisted templates—reducing manual effort while maintaining the precision and consistency expected of a leading law firm.

Scope of Work
Zencore collaborated with Homburger to develop and execute a comprehensive solution that included:
- Establishing a dedicated Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
- Developing GenAI solutions for analysis and summary of legal documents from various internal and public sources.
- Building a user interface to facilitate searching and creation of customized reports in line with Homburger’s corporate identity.
- Providing ongoing support through knowledge transfer, pair programming, and documentation

Successfully engineered and transitioned Homburger's initial Zencore-built Generative AI Proof-of-Concept into a robust, secure, and fully scalable production system, including a structured GCP environment in the Zurich region, implementing best practices for cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and reliability.
A fully functional production solution leveraging the capabilities of Google’s Gemini 2.0 model with a user-friendly interface designed to enhance lawyer interaction with the AI tool, customized reports in both PDF and Word format, adhering to Homburger’s corporate identity guidelines and the integration of summarization capabilities providing quick insights.
Business Impact
By automating the collection and summarization of the latest legal updates, lawyers spend less time gathering information and can focus more on higher value tasks.
